I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling twenty two!

Hello lovelies!

Last month I celebrated my 22nd Birthday and had a really wonderful time. In amongst the exam period it was so nice to have a break.

The weekend before I was taken to the City of Cambridge as a surprise treat. I had never been before and the city is simply beautiful. Amazing architecture and atmosphere – it really reminded me of French towns with lots of creperies and ice cream parlours!

I was also amazed at how many bicycles were around…everybody cycles, and there were hundreds of bikes lined up along railings throughout the city centre. We stayed in the Marriott hotel just outside of the city, had dinner within their restaurant and then spent the evening in the queen sized bed watching films. It really was beautiful, even the journey there had views of fields of beautiful flowers covering the countryside. I couldn’t have asked for more and the British weather was perfect!

The weekend afterwards was Easter Weekend, as my birthday fell on Good Friday this year. Lots of chocolate eggs and bunny crumpets were consumed! My three favourite girls and I  booked into Afternoon Tea at a very posh hotel. It was a very beautiful day with an amazing view across the harbour whilst sipping champagne and munching on cake!

Following Afternoon Tea we headed to town that evening for a night of dancing. I really had such a fabulous birthday and am so lucky to be surrounded by such amazing people!

I hope you enjoyed the photos as much as I enjoyed the day! Love to you all.

Malmaison London

This weekend I was lucky enough to stay in the Malmaison Hotel in London. A five star chain in the UK. I have connections that enabled us to do so at a lower rate and it really was magical! The boyfriend and I were upgraded to a Superior Suite and also were treated to two free cocktails with our dinner!

The Hotel had Egyptian cotton sheets, a fully staked mini bar, a deep bath and a chez long! However I personally was more than happy with the complimentary slippers I was given! I spent most of the stay wondering around the room in them, with the extra two inches of padding flapping off the back of my size five feet! “One size fits all” indeed…

Downstairs was a beautifully decorated entrance area and the restaurant and bar tucked away in the basement! All quite dark for my personal taste in decoration, but it gave the building a mysterious feeling to it!

And of course I enjoyed my usual Cosmopolitan….but with a five star twist ;)
I really could get used to living like this! Beautiful Hotels, Five Star meals! May be a few years away for now, but the idea of Graduating next year has me all excited about getting away from poor student life!

The Sound of Change Concert

The Sound of Change Concert Tickets
I had the most incredible weekend. On Saturday I was lucky enough to have tickets to The Sound of Change Concert at Twickenham Stadium. The concert was run by Gucci, with a focus on changing the lives of women around the world and was broadcast live to one billion people. The performances were incredible and the atmosphere throughout the crowd unexplainable, and the stories about individual women inspiring.
I was overwhelmed that I was so close to some of the most inspirational celebrity women. Acts included Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J Blige, John Legend, Jessie J and many more. I got a few good photographs, however in the middle of the concert my good camera stopped working! So the majority of my images became grainy iphone pictures! But I will still share some of them with you.

I was very upset that I couldn’t get better photos with my favourite camera! But if you want to see some of the performance it’s worth it. Jennifer Lopez was amazing, and as usually Beyonce blew the whole crowd away! Videos are attached below!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend

Saturday, 14 January 2012

Hello my lovely loyal readers
I apologise for my little break from the world of blogger. When I left university I had a very manic schedule over Christmas with family and friends, and on top of that I had to fit in Coursework and revision for exams. However I am now exam and coursework free and therefore will be back to updating two or three times a week and responding to all your comments over the holiday.
I also hope that you all had a lovely Christmas and that 2012 brings you everything you desire. Only two weeks into January, despite the general negative vibe from the country with regards to the economy, I feel that for myself it is going to be my best year yet.
A few highlights from my holiday…
1) Welcoming in 2012 with some old friends

2) Partying at University continuing

3) Mutley having more room in the car during our travels than anybody else

4) Beautiful presents from a lovely man

A lovely end to 2011
Lots of Love
